Cameron House wedding photographyCristina & Connor
Loch Lomond, a wee trip to Luss and one brilliant party

Back to Scotland for their wedding
Cristina is from Romania, Connor is from Glasgow, and these two now live in Qatar. They came back to Scotland to get married at Cameron House, bringing their nearest and dearest together beside Loch Lomond.
What a setting. This five-star hotel has that beautiful old entrance, the loch and the hills beyond it. Add a lovely couple, some surprise entertainment and a brilliant party, and I had so much to photograph.
We made time for portraits around the hotel and a trip to Luss, with plenty of candid moments in between. Exactly the sort of day I love being part of.
The morning at Cameron House
The morning started at the hotel, with Cristina getting ready alongside her bridesmaids. That lace dress, the window light and everyone’s faces when they saw her — lovely things to photograph.
There’s so much happening before a ceremony. I like to leave room for those moments, rather than having everyone looking at the camera all morning.

A ceremony with Darren Handy
Darren Handy led their ceremony, including a handfasting. Cristina and Connor had their closest people around them, and there were some fantastic reactions across the room.
I’m watching those wee moments as well as the couple. Someone laughing, someone holding back tears, a proud smile from the front row. They’re all part of the story.

Confetti and photographs at the hotel
Then it was outside for confetti, a few group photographs and plenty of catching up. What a lovely bunch to spend the day with.
We grabbed some portraits at the front of the hotel too. Those stone steps and that entrance make such a beautiful backdrop, and we were close enough to get straight back to everyone. Cristina’s veil looked incredible against the building.

The speeches, then a surprise
The speeches gave me plenty to catch around the tables, from big laughs to a bridesmaid wiping away a tear.
Then singing waiter Jonny Griffen got involved, and before long the napkins were in the air. Cristina and Connor were right in amongst it. Brilliant fun, and the sort of thing that gives you photographs full of personality.

A wee trip to Luss
After dinner, I drove Cristina and Connor to Luss for a few photographs. The light was wonderful. We had a wander through the village, past the cottages and down to the water.
Loch Lomond and the hills looked incredible behind them. I also took a drone photograph of the two of them out on the jetty, with all that water around them. One of my favourites from their day.
Some lovely portraits, a bit of time together and then back to Cameron House for the party.

Back for the dancing
Their first dance was to Can’t Help Falling in Love, then Diego kept the celebrations going. This Scottish–Romanian wedding had such a brilliant crowd, and they made the most of that dance floor.
We even finished with fireworks. Cristina and Connor together outside, with the sky lighting up behind them. What a day.
Thank you both for having me along. I absolutely loved photographing it.

“You captured the most meaningful moments for us and our guests — you were present throughout the day, yet never intrusive.”
