A Lochside House Hotel weddingAiden & Taylor
October sunshine. Big laughs. Some party.
An absolute belter at Lochside
Aiden and Taylor’s wedding at Lochside House Hotel had it all: laughs from the morning onwards, a brilliant ceremony, everyone out in the October sunshine and a dance floor that just kept going.
I loved hearing that these two met at Hush in Coatbridge. I actually photographed its opening night, so that took me back a bit!
From the emotional moments to the glorious madness, here’s their day through my lens.
Fireball, bow ties and plenty of laughs
The laughs started early. Taylor and the girls were on the Fireball, while I somehow ended up helping the boys with their bow ties. A pretty good start to a wedding day!
Taylor’s dress was from Bijoux Bridal, with make-up by Karen McCallum and Kelsey Barker, and hair by Danielle Cree Hair and BTS Hair by Steph. The boys were looking the part in Slater Menswear.

A ceremony that felt like them
George McLean, George the Humanist, delivered exactly what Aiden and Taylor wanted: a short, funny ceremony that felt completely theirs. Plenty of laughs, a few emotional faces, and two very happy people at the centre of it all.
The flowers and styling by Pretty Little Details looked beautiful in the ceremony room. It was also lovely working alongside John from Amour Wedding Videos to capture the day.

October sunshine at Lochside
Unbelievable October sunshine meant everyone could get outside and enjoy the drinks reception. With the loch, the gardens and those views behind them, we had so much to work with for Aiden and Taylor’s portraits.
A few photographs with their favourite people, a wee wander together and plenty of time to get back to the celebrations. That’s how I like it.

Five speeches and a “TAPS AFF” poster
Five brilliant speeches kept the room laughing, and Dad’s “TAPS AFF” poster gave us a fairly good idea of where the night was heading. By the second dance, it had become reality!
Stevie Bennett from Tartan Entertainment was fantastic. His five minutes of madness got everyone going, and he kept the music and atmosphere flowing during the meal. I’ve been listening to the playlist he gave me ever since.

A wee break for the sunset
Taylor was up for slipping out during dinner to catch the sunset, and I’m so glad we did. That warm light across the loch was something else.
A few quiet minutes together, a wee dance on the terrace, and some of my favourite photographs from the day. Lochside really delivered.

What a night
Taylor changed into her evening dress, Stevie had her up on a podium in the middle of the dance floor, and the whole room was absolutely bouncing. Hands in the air, sunglasses on and everybody right in amongst it.
This is why I love staying to capture the party. The photographs at the end tell you everything you need to know about this crowd!

Aiden & Taylor, thank you so much for having me.
An absolute ball from start to finish.
